Arthritis is a disease of the joints that affect a lot of peole but especially older people at their joints and at times could lead to deformities. One substance being used to treat arthritis is glucosamine which can be found in natural food sources. Although there are over the counter drugs used to treat arthritis like drugs but there are really expensive.
Normally, a younger body finds it easier to replace these nutrients lost at the joints due to wear and tear but as the body gets older, it tends to lose this capability and so would need a little help to make joints work better.

Now in Nigeria, people already know about this and it helps older people find it easier to walk and do normal activities.

There are two steps to treatin arthritis:
- Relieving the pain
- Replenishing the joints

In order to relieve the pain, food sources that will do are onions or garlic.

In order to replenish the body with Glucosamine, you could try food sources like bone marrow or broth made from animal bones like chicken or cows. The connective tissue of animals, such as chicken marrow, and other animal materials, such as shell fish exoskeletons also contain Glucosamine and these help in making your joints work better.

There is this supplement I know that my dad takes that works for arthritis and it contains both glucosamine and Chondroitin and it is called Schiff Move Free Advanced , Triple Strength Plus MSM & Vitamin D3. It has 80 tablets.

You can learn more about it by going to http://www.amazon.com/Schiff-Advanced-Strength-Vitamin-Tablets/dp/B0014SVCL8

It also contains extra vitamins and minerals and all those goodies help to rebuild joint tissues and strenghten the bones. So I would recommend it.

Yes crayfish and other sea foods with exoskeleton are an excellent natural source of glucosamine which can help repair worn out joints which in turn keeps away arthritis pain for the long term
