I have had a smooth dark patch that looks like a dead skin cell under my big toe and it has been there for more than two years now and I guess it is because I like trekking a lot. I have been having foot baths recently and trying to scrub it with a stone but it still won't go away. It only gets lighter after scraping it off but it still grows darker overtime and builds up. I think it is as a result of pressure I put on that part of my toe when I walk. How do I remove it

Try massaging vaseline or petroleum jelly on your feet everyday and wear stocking before you sleep.
You should also try wearing thick stocking especially when wearing a show to go out to work.

It is just a callus that has built up over the years due to pressure on the feet. You can also treat it by soaking the feet in 1 cup of Apple cider vinegar and water solution for 10 minutes and afterward scrub with pumice stone to remove the dead cells. Don't use this method if you are diabetic.
You will begin to see better effects in a few days.

In order to prevent future occurrences of calluses, you should use a good moisturizer on your feet. It is probably because your feet was less moisturized that calluses were built up.

Calluses are just your body's natural defense mechanism as it helps to protect you but you can prevent it by reducing friction in such areas using methods like moisturizing and better fitting shoes
